Hi
I installed several Windows VM's in two different dedicated machines using Proxmox 8.
When i start the VM's, they use a lot ram.
Seems to be a general problem, that's why i tested in different dedicated servers.
I followed this tutorial...
"Enable NUMA in case you got a multi-socket server. If you got a little big CPU architecture it might help to pin a VM to the performance cores. And in case you trust all your guests you could disable mitigations in the bootloader."
I have an I9 9900k and this VM will only be accessed by me...
Hi
Currently i am creating a new VM with windows 11.
Anyone knows what is the BEST way possible to setup windows 11 in terms of performance (to host game servers) ?
I'll host really high cpu dependent game servers.
System: Proxmox v8.0.4 (latest version)
Thanks.
Hello
I've created a Windows 10 VM, everything works well.
Then i cloned this VM to another one, so i can easily have 2x Windows 10 VM's.
The thing is, i can only have one turned on, if i turn both on, one of them will shutdown.
I even changed their internal ips so they can have different ips...
"Then you force people to waste their time reading the same thread again and again. If I can't give you an answer when reading it the first time, I will also not answer the second or third time"
If you read with attention the first time, you will not need to read it anymore because you already...
I do not have additional info to add.
if I don't, it will eventually be forgotten.

-1 default ipv4 public ip (multiple LXC's and VM's using the same ipv4 with different internal ips and different ports)
-4 or more failover ips
-All machines with a different ipv6 public ips
Everything using NAT.
This is basically what i want.
" there is nothing to configure for LXC in ipv4 with failover ip & hw address, no need iptables and NAT "
You continue insisting in things that are not the problem here.
So explain me how can i specify the internal ip, ports and rules for each failover ip?
I use iptables + nat because i can...
I know how to configure everything with zero problems without using the router vm (using only dedicated server iptables + nat).
But a few persons that understand well about network related things told me that using NAT on the vmbr0 interface
it is not secure at all and sugested me to create a...
yeah, as far as i can see you're not checking all my configs with attention, so yeah, you will not be able to provide the correct solution.
thanks anyway.
