Well quick update, a bit of web debugging shows the storage request timing out. Which pushes me towards the part where the "pvesm status" command is taking long (it took 2 minutes and 11 seconds, and this times out in 30 seconds).

Yes it should be available to all nodes, no node was chosen when the disk was created (I'm posting from our documentation how things are setup). There is only one node in the cluster at the moment anyway.
