Just as a bit more information on one of the boot logs it says that there is no /sbin/init file in the container. After making a copy of a backup and extracting it i found that the /sbin/init does not exist in the container. Could this be causing the failed boot? Here is a copy of the boot log:

Right i just tried that and when i restarted my container i got this message: Cannot find device "eth0" Failed to bring up eth0.

would i put it in the interfaces.head? as im sure any manual changes in interfaces gets over written by the autogenerator and i would put 'auto eth0' to start it right?
