ucarp in a CT stopped working after upgrade in my case .. yes with the mac_filter=off setting ..
syslog says "eth0: SIOETHTOOL(ETHTOOL_GTSO) ioctl failed: Operation not permitted"
Is it possible to have 2 vhosts running ucarp and share a virtual ip for some sort of redundancy ???
I imagine that their interface should be bridged IFace for arp purposes.
However the Bridge in it self on the HN puzzles me.
Thanks for your answers

I am planning a proxmox machine that will also host an *asterisk* server running in a container ...
on the switches vlan222 will be the voice vlan ...
Asterisk requires the sip+iax etc interface not to be of venet type but instead a bridged one.
Thus this is what I have in mind:

Is openvz supported under this kernel ???
After I upgraded to it na ct are running
and
vzlist compaints
unable to open /proc/vz .... bla bla
and the beancounters bla bla are missing
Thanks
Thanks, but it's a bit more complicated than that ...
See the DMZ zone is a vlan by it's self
Besides your solution won't eliminate the need for additional public ip's.
NAT and SNAT would be a solution but the whole system stands behind an already complex FW that I do not intend to make it...
I have a Proxmox server running in my DMZ zone.
My DMZ zone has 3 nets assigned
2 with public IP's xx.xx.xx.xx/28 ( A and B )
1 private 10.0.0.0/28
In order to dedicate a vhost into a different net than the one the main vmbr0 interface is on
I had to use a veth interface rather than a venet...
Thans for the replies ...
Please consider me a total newbie in the qm aspect ...
I've played around with that and manage to pass the usb device ...
However now I wish to pass a PCI device for usage exclusively by the vh,
I did this
qm monitor 106
>pci_add pci_addr=auto host host=05:00.0...
Vlan20 is attached to Local lan
Vlan80 is atthaced to wpa2 WIFI
I place both on the same bridge in order to make the wpa2 participants present in the local lan area. ( same subnet ) ( dhcp server gateway and fw are all common )
I am sure there are other ways of doing the same but this is...
Thanks udo ...
Indeed your config works
However there is a difference, you attach only one vlan to your bridge
After I removed the second one ( vlan80 ) the machine rebooted with no issues ..
The problem is caused when there are 2 vlan devices attached to the bridge ...

Hello,
I have created a bridge on the HN,

vlan_raw_device eth0
auto vmbr0
