    Question regarding ProxmoxVE 4.3

Thanks @leesteken . Some time ago I replaced /dev/sdb on same server. This time it should be /dev/sda drive, so that's why I'm worried. Let's say aaa is good drive, bbb is bad drive and ccc is the new drive Last time I did this: #save a backup and loaded on new disk sgdisk --backup=table...

    Question regarding ProxmoxVE 4.3

Hello. I was tasked to do a disk replacement on a very, very, very old Proxmox installation. # pveversion pve-manager/4.3-1/e7cdc165 (running kernel: 4.4.19-1-pve) The server was installed on ZFS raid 1 Array (mirror). Before continuing let me say I was told: This server WONT be upgraded. I...

    LXC (Ubuntu) Disable IPv6

You can config samba to use IPv4 only. interfaces = your.ipv4.network.address bind interfaces only = Yes But if you insist in disabling IPv6 at SO level I think you could edit /etc/sysctl.conf (not tried yet) $ sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf # add these lines at bottom...

    looking for opinions

Thanks Lnxbil & alexskysilk. This server will not have any database. ERP they use is just a frontend client that connects to a middleware that interacts with database. I was concerned about having 50 RDS users on virtualized WS2016 on that hardware. Also 48GB ram seems too little for 50 users...

    looking for opinions

Hello, To put some background: I live in Argentina. Our economy is a mess; smal companies can't (or don't want to) afford enterprise grade hardware. So mainly buy budget hardware or (even worst) consumer grade desktop machines AS SERVERS!!! And then they expect that shitty hardware give...

    [SOLVED] Questions about LVM

I can't figure out how it works... I need to read A LOT more about LVM. I made this test on a VM: installed proxmox as default on a 16GB disk. So root was 7GB. I ran then: # lvresize -L+3G pve/root # touch /forcefsck && reboot ... then ... # resize2fs /dev/pve/root and / grew up to 10GB. Is...

Hi to all. I need guidance/advice. I have a single Proxmox 3.2 server running 2 openvz and 3 KMV. I'm planning to do a clean install of version 4.2 All I have to do is convert openvz to lxc and backup to external drive, right? Then, restoring those backups should run without issues. (saving...

bug? I can see /dev/sdX from inside a container

I'm really not sure about where to report this. I know this is not a Proxmox bug, so I'm asking for guidance (and also to inform this to you). I have a Proxmox server at home. I made a container and installed Gnome, Xdummy and x11vnc to have a full desktop. So I can access this containerized...

Feature Request: scale ability for vncterm

I was using vncterm because easy-to-use, just log in and pull the java app. For spice it's ok on windows but debian has not updated packages, on Arch spice don't show cursor... oh well. It was less painfull to use vncterm. Will try spice again Enviado desde mi GT-I8190L mediante Tapatalk
