I tried qm set to set the cpu but cannot seem to get the options set correctly. I think that might solve my issue if I can figure out the syntax.

The error in the task viewer is:
kvm: kernel doesn't allow setting HyperV VP_INDEX
Any thoughts on getting it started is appreciated. The old version was 5.2 and it booted fine in it.
Edit: Looks like if I can modify the kvm cpu options to add "-hv_vpindex" it might boot. Any ideas on how...
I am testing PMG and modified the custom report and thought I would share in case anyone was interested. The attached file named "spamreport-custom.txt" needs to be placed in /var/lib/pmg/templates and renamed to "spamreport-custom.tt". Then change the report type to custom.
My thought was that if the server could be taken offline, wouldn't qemu-img be a good alternative to duplicate the original physical server disks over to the Proxmox storage area as opposed to the VMWare Converter running on the original physical host. From testing, it looks like VMWare...
I have read the Wiki about P2V and have also done a test conversion of a Windows Server 2012R2 with VMWare Converter that worked fine. Is there any reason that using a boot disc/USB and running qemu-img with the source raw disk(s) output to qcow2 files on the storage area for the VM wouldn't...
On my update, the default when asked if I wanted to continue without installing Grub was "No". So I chose it and then the master boot record of the hd. Seems to be working fine for me.
How often have you seen a NIC fail though? I've been networking for about 13 years and unless there is a power spike that gets on the ethernet wire, I think I've only seen a couple fail (NE2000 NICs). One cool thing about those HCA adapters is that you can get them in 10 Gbps speeds for a...
While setting up bonding on my OpenFiler box I came across one small reference on the Internet that surprised me. I had always been under the assumption that when you bonded together ports using 802.3ad, it was (to use an analogy) basically like switching to a larger water pipe from a smaller...
Works perfectly! If you want other forums still to look at, I use slatedroid and xda developers. Thanks for setting it up!

Tapatalk support gives many more features than RSS. You can login to the forum, mark forum categories as favorites, mark threads as favorites, create new threads and reply to existing. My understanding is that the module won't take too much time to add/enable (according to their propaganda of...
Would one of the forum admins mind enabling tapatalk support for these forums? It would make browsing it much faster when I am on my phone. I would have PMd this but don't think I have the ability to do so from my account. http://www.tapatalk.com/
I haven't tried this but came across the link a couple of weeks ago:

When you are in the Proxmox GUI working and want to pop into the guest for a few minutes, using the Open VNC Console option makes perfect sense. You expect it to be sized correctly (which is what the OP wanted) when you go back in. I can't speak for most but I administer my servers from a Linux...
I don't know if this will help but it works for me and might be worth a try ( taken from another forum thread ):

Fix for "Web Based VNC Console renders a partial screen "
Work around is to oversize the applet at start and it will be shrunk acordingly

I've tried to contact a couple of people to get this updated but can't PM on the boards and the wiki message I sent hasn't been responded to after a week or so. The wiki page - http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Get_support - has the old forum url in the text of the page. I created an account on the...
SLES works properly and taking the xorg.conf from a SLES box and dropping it into the CentOS 5.5 /etc/X11 directory seems to work fine. I am attaching a working xorg.conf to this post ( renamed to xorg.conf.txt )
You should be able to install the same version of proxmox on a separate machine, then tar the relevant directories up, copy them to the proxmox box ( perhaps putting them on a usb drive and booting the original box with a live cd ), and untarring them to the box. Worth a shot if it is only those...
