Hello,
I have a few Aladdin usb dongle. Usb pass-through to windows guest used to work great since about 1,5 years.
But with pve-qemu-kvm 0.15.0-2 the guest halt (or doesn't even boot) each time I try to add an usb dongle.
The last working version is 0.15.0-1.
Argh ! I didn't made the link between the fact that Oracle ceased support and proxmox's kernel. I'll have to stick to 2.6.32-4 til proxmox 2 stable (and complete re-install).
By the way, what clusterfs remain availlable in pve kernel ?
The new 2.6.18 kernel boot just fine and do join the ocfs2 cluster.
I will test it on hardware with incompatible bnx2 this weekend.
Edit :
I don't known if this is kernel related, but I can't boot with pxe on this 2.6.18 kernel, while it run flawlessy on the 2.6.32 kernel
The 2.6.18 kernel does not support ocfs2.
uranus:~# uname -a
Linux uranus 2.6.18-1-pve #1 SMP Mon Dec 21 10:03:07 CET 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
uranus:~# gunzip -c /proc/config.gz |grep OCFS2
# CONFIG_OCFS2_FS is not set
The issue with 2.6.18 and 2.6.24 is the support of the bnx2 nic which make the server hang with kernel panic from time to time.
This issue was resolved in 2.6.27.
The issue with ocfs2 is that each node in an ocfs2 cluster must have the same capability/version and thus the suggestion of having...
I use both KVM and openVZ and chosing between one sytem would kill the interest in proxmox.
However kernel 2.6.24 isn't sufficient for my use. My servers have bnx2 network cards and support in 2.6.24 is bloated (kernel panic every 2 days).
These problems where resolved in 2.6.27 and thus I...
