I was all over this forum looking for a way to get ProxMox 3.0 to do software RAID much like I had working on 2.X.
Started out with the same approach and things went down hill fast at the end. So after a few days of tinkering I was ready to give up (almost).
Then I found this link...
PERFECT !!! That was the it. I did exactly as you said no changes and then restarted the daemons and it worked.
Thank you for help now, I'm back on track.
I would suggest an update to the wiki instructions for this as well.
First of all thank you for the continued support in trytng to get this to work. Yes, I just updated again, just to be 100% sure.
# pveversion
pve-manager/3.0/957f0862
Still in the same place. I was hopeful but updating made no change.
Are the following files even relevant anymore ...
Well the good news is that someone has it working, so now it's just a matter of getting past my ignorance.
I did exactly as stated above, even copying my sub.class2.server.ca.pem file to intermediate_certificate.pem just so I could cut and past the command from your post.
Restarted the PVE...
This is my second time through this process. I had a similar situation prior to upgrading to the latest PVE 3.0. The last time it was a bit more complicated as Apache was in the mix. (http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/7316-VNC-TLS-handshake-failed)
This time I got my Certs to work with no real...
Thanks $1M wawjohn, it took me a while to get back to this but I really needed to fix a VM that had a configuration issue. So thank goodness you left your note.
I took the liberty of rewriting your notes and others into one collective step-by-step. To perhaps save some others from sliding off...
Thanks woodgee for the response. I have the items you pointed out in place and verified.
They seem to only address the Apache SSL component. So my SSL to port 8006 is working perfectly.
It's the TLS error with Java that's the root of my current issue. I can't access a console session.
After...
Did anyone ever get this to work in a predictable manner? I have been trying to change my certificate for the last 3 days.
I started by following the procedure laid out on http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/HTTPSCertificateConfiguration . Including a reboot.
That didn't work. I am using a StartSSL...
I have had a similar issue where FreeBSD seems to run for some time, approximately 6 hours in my case and then it just stops.
After I found this thread I tried disabling ACPI. Just to eliminate the issue. That didn't change anything.
So for full disclosure purposes, I'm not the exact same...
Did you ever get this to work?
I have the same issues under 2.1 ProxMox.
The odd thing is I could get out with OpenBSD, but not FreeBSD.
I didn't make any changes in either case. The Internal router address 10.0.2.2 is accessible.
In the case of OpenBSD the default route works but FreeBSD will...
I didn't get a chance to try the vgimportclone because I re-installed both nodes in the new cluster to verify consistent configurations. So far it works fine. I've got software RAID 1 running on both nodes. I'm thinking this was an issue with the hardware in combination with backup process...
Sorry, it's been a while since I've been able to get back to this.
I did go in an turn off the BIOS setting for RAID. So that's no longer a possible source of issues.
Backups have been running without issue for the past several days, without any changes, however I still see the same...
Hi Udo,
Thanks again for the response.
There is no software RAID, but you these servers are Sun servers (X2250) which have a Windows Based RAID component in the BIOS. I'm going to see if I can verify that it's turned off at the BIOS level, so I can rule that out of the possible reasons.
Also...
Udo, thanks for the response.
Ok, here is an update. What I did yesterday is migrate one of the VMs to one sever and the other to the alternate cluster node.
Both servers ran backups successfully. So I think this is more of a configuration or procedural issue. It almost seems like there is...
Installed 2.1-1 about two weeks ago and all seemed well until I scheduled backups and moved things around.
Well, I haven't setup HA yet but backup is a bit more important.
To give some additional background,I've been running ProxMox for at least 3 years on version 1.X. I got new servers and...
