    How to check/update NIC drivers

It's RouterOS, which is Linux-based. I don't think there is a way to check/update the driver from within RouterOS.

    How to check/update NIC drivers

I believe I do not have the NIC as a PCI, but rather as a virtual Network Device. Here is the VM config: root@r59:~# qm config 100 boot: order=scsi0;ide2;net0 cores: 22 cpu: host ide2: none, media=cdrom memory: 30080 name: CHR-R59 net0: virtio=1E:23:C9:CA:F3:CD,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1 net1...

    Correct configuration for VM Processors

It sounds like you're suggesting that hyperthreading has no benefit for VMs? Why is that?

    Correct configuration for VM Processors

I don't think the main point is being addressed here. I'm trying to get answers on how to actually configure the CPU settings. The way it's configured now only allows 24 cores to show up in the VM, which isn't enough for what the VM is doing.

    Correct configuration for VM Processors

Hello, I have Proxmox VE 6.3-3 running on a Dell Server with an Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2680 v3 (2x 12 core). Hyperthreading is enabled, so a maximum of 48 cores are available. What is the correct configuration to allow a VM to use all 48 cores? I tried setting Sockets to 2 and Cores to 24...

I see. What if I was to just disable Hyperthreading in the Dell BIOS? Would that have any averse side effects within Proxmox?

    How do I disable hyperthreading?

Am I correct to assume that using the echo off >/sys/devices/system/cpu/smt/control code will not force the node to still have smt disabled after a reboot? The only way to do that is to use the kernel command line on boot?

    How do I disable hyperthreading?

Proxmox VE 6.3-3 Dell PowerEdge R630 Intel Xeon Processor E5-2680 V3 Typing lscpu in Shell shows 2 Thread(s) per core. I'd like it to be just 1. I'm running a RouterOS VM and I've seen a lot of suggestions to disable hyperthreading to improve CPU efficiency. Thanks for your time!
