Hello, I'm new to Proxmox and I would like to use Spice for my VMs. To do this, I installed spice-vdagent on my VM and changed the default display to Spice. On my local Windows PC, I installed virt-viewer from here: https://virt-manager.org/download. I ended up with a .tar file that I extracted. When I launch the VM with Spice, it downloads a file, but I don't understand what to do with it since I don't have a virtual application. Could someone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It should download as .vv extension. I would try to run `remote-viewer.exe <downloaded file>`

I have a VV file for my VM, but the "remote-viewer.exe" command doesn't seem to be recognized, at least not on my Windows PC. Here is the content of the "spice" directory.Capture d'écran 2024-03-28 150303.png

See remote-viewer.exe

I don't see any application to launch it
You don't need to. Extension should be already assigned. Just select SPICE as your Display in Hardware. Then doubleclick or select Console->Spice from menu and you'll get file download notification. Download it, click on file. That's it.
