Having all interfaces in the same subnet is possible if you use ifaces, that way you can bind a connection/session to an interface and use all interfaces available. Without it all traffic will be routed over the default interface for that specific network... Don't know if proxmox is using ifaces...

That doesn't matter... a separate disk, separate partition or lvm volume...they're all block devices and can be monitored using iostat... So the default way in Proxmox, lvm, can be monitored with iostat

As far as I know it should be possible with the CFQ scheduler, at least Citrix does the trick with that scheduler...

Doesn't openvz use a filesystem to store vm data ? If that's the case you could symlink the openvz dir to a dir on your new disk...

I understand openvz can not work directly with devices... But it should be possible when I install a filesystem on a volume ? My idea is to use DRBD, LVM on top of it... for the kvm's proxmox will create the lv's.... But I would like to manually create one lv myself with an ext3 on top of it...
