That makes sense. But my thought would be to build the bridge w/o an IP and then use a tagged OVSintPort to do the mgmt, but the more I think about it I like the idea of putting IP on the bridge, and leaving all the communication to the VMS to be managed by the OVSintPorts and tagged...
Thanks for sharing that answer. I have a server with 4 1 gig nics that I was about to bond into one link, and use OVS to segment the traffic of ceph/cluster/VM.
Looks like I will need a dedicated port for each. I can use OVS for the VM environment...

I used the Debian 6 openvz template to create a container. It installed and is running but I cannot see the console via no-vnc nor through lxc-console.
It appears that I am in the container but I am unable to see a command prompt.

I have tried several configs yet when I reboot my containers lose their vlans.
I will post my config later this evening.
On a secondary note, my bonded channels/vlans in ovs have sporadic connectivity. In other words, if I ping www.google.com...
When I use the containers I can get openvz to work with open switch until I reboot and then I need to reconfigure the vlan for openvz.
If openvz doesn't work with openswitch are the plans/workarounds to make it do so?
