@jonas: Wie bereits im ersten Posting erwähnt - es ist kein kein Cluster vorhanden. Es gibt hardwaremäßig nur diesen einen Server... trotzdem vielen Dank für den Hinweis! @HBO: Völlig richtig - nur diesen einen Server. Und wenn der abrauchen sollte, kommt eine neue (möglichst ähnliche) Maschine...

Wir haben ein eher simples Setup (kleine Firma): Ein Proxmox-Server, bei dem 4 virtuelle Linux-Server auf einem Synology NFS-Storage abgelegt sind. Also kein Cluster. Habe ich eine Chance, wenn der Server ausfallen sollte und ersetzt werden muss, die virtuellen Maschinen vom dann neuen Server...

I just found something in the Synology control panel: File Services - Win/Mac/NFS - NFS Service - Advanced Settings - Apply default UNIX permissions This is activated... Good or bad?

One more question: Would it be better to use NFS v4? The RackStation is used by Proxmox only, there are no other services running on it, just NFS. I would add the option vers=4 in Proxmox and enable v4 on the RackStation. Anything else? Ralph
