    Hanging Backup Jobs

Hello So I am having an interesting problem, I have nightly backups of particular VM's that have been working for a while now. However, last night the backup jobs on two of my nodes never finished and I can only connect to one node at a time through the browser. It's acting as if I have lost...

    Extended Volume Problem

Hello I have an iSCSI target configured in my proxmox cluster and on the SAN I just recently extended the volume from 696GB to 1500GB however proxmox will not acknowledge the increase in size it still only detects the original 696GB of which I have nearly used up. Thank in advance for your...

    Constantly Losing Quorum

Thank you all for your input it has been incredibly useful in troubleshooting this issue. All of the cables have been tested thoroughly and they are good to go; the SAN traffic has had a dedicated 1GB nic on each node with traffic separated in a VLAN. After all of the conversation here and...

    Constantly Losing Quorum

Thank you for that I am going to look into it. We're you using Cisco switches? If so could you give me some pointers on what you did to change the multicast mode? Thanks again!

    Constantly Losing Quorum

Dietmar I am running a StoneFly SAN which has 12TB of disk space to store all of the VMs, occasionally proxmox will give me I/O errors pertaining to the LVM Target. Here are how many running vms are on each node: PX1: 7 PX2: 2 PX3: 8 PX5: 9 PX2 has the least because it loses quorum the most...

    Constantly Losing Quorum

Thank you for the response. I am not running any firewall or iptable between nodes and I have had the errors occur during high and low traffic on the network. Would it help to isolate the node traffic in a VLAN separate from the VM traffic?

    Constantly Losing Quorum

    Proxmox VE 1.7 Upgrade

Tom Thank you for your quick response. So if I am understanding you correctly I could backup all of my vms (snapshots or raw images) externally and format my server with a fresh install of Proxmox 2.1 and them import my vm's. Is there a detailed write up on the backup/restore process of the...

    Proxmox VE 1.7 Upgrade

Hello I have been using Proxmox VE 1.7 for about a year now and the time has come for an upgrade, or so I think. I have been experiencing an unusually high I/O delay on my master node and after reading through the change logs on the newer versions it seems as though upgrading may be the answer...
