Hello im trying to access a VM trough SPICE using the public IP of the hosts network. The PMVE private adress is 10.0.11.10 so ports 3128 and 8006 got FWded to that. Using the public adress i can access the WEBGUI with no problem but when i try to open SPICE i got this:

    New configuration help

After the feedback I'm looking into 32 GB instead of 16GB in the host and ZFS with RAID 10 (from the PMVE Install menu). Someone recommended me to use ZFS RAIDZ instead, but afaik it would perform slower on writes and would be heavier for the system overall, so why should i consider it? Also...

    Plans for supporting software raid?

Thx everyone for the feedback, i still dont know why doing raidz would be better for me than zfs's raid 10.

    Plans for supporting software raid?

Ok, im not using the onboard RAID but, why RAIDZ instead of ZFS RAID10? i know its like RAID5 and it will give me more space, but im in the need of more write speed too.

    New configuration help

That is what i think i need, does any of the ZFS configurations give the same benefits with ~50% of the disc space available as in RAID 10? no need for a spare as udo clarified, but with at least 1 redundant drive.

    New configuration help

    New configuration help

In case the mother dies if i get the same as a replacement, i would be able to see the discs with no problem? In this config im thinking about giving 8GB of RAM to the windows+SQL VM, 4 to the Linux and leave 4 for the host, in case i use ZFS, would this work? (4x2TB disks with at least 1 spare...

    Plans for supporting software raid?

I would like to know what do you mean with soft RAID, couse im thinking about doing a RAID 10 with the Intel Chipset in my motherboard, and then install PMVE 4.2 over it, i shouldn't expect that to work? Some pp call that software raid as in no RAID card present.

How to upgrade PMVE 4.2 without subscription?

    Proxmox and overclocking

Hi, i dont think it matters what speed the guest shows, but i dont know a thing about PMVE or KDE, still it would be easy to test with something like 7zip benchmark if performance impreves about 10% before/after OC. I dont have a true answer to your question, sorry, but i been asking for...

    New configuration help

The config needs to run only one Windows VM with a small SQL DB and a Linux container/VM with OpenVPN and samba, i was thinking about using 2 containers for those last 2 services, Turnkey OpenVPN and Turnkey FileShare (Webmin). Currently i have this running in an gen 6 proliant dl360 with 8G of...
