I've tested fio in the boot disc (1x SSD) and I was not even getting 300MB/s and on windows I get 500MBs
I think I have my conclusions but what to do next don't know!
I came out with a conclusion, after a week of tests I realized that is nothing to do with the HBA cards, the cause is bad proxmox drivers.
I install a windows and a ubuntu directly on the machine and I got the 500MB/s per drive, so looking what to do next...
I think I have the same problem, same system R620xd same CPU but 198Gb ram and H710p flashed to IT mode.
I'm making some testing in two exact systems, just the drives change.
I also find the error on the picture attached and led me to this site but cannot understand it...
Thanks for the help and for the feedback.
Going to jump over here because of other potencial problem, lack of speed of the datastore

Thanks for the feedback.
That website tool @jsterr mentioned helped a lot.
To benchmark the zfs pool is the bellow comand ok? How do I know its runing on the correct datastore ?

I have the same error on mpt3 and mpt2 (have two flashed IT mode Dell Perc cards in the system)
But my system boot ok (dell R720xd) but not so good performance on the disk/pools side of things.
Just wondering if the problem is regards the MVDATA thing!
No newer firmware availables since 2016 I...
Thanks for the reply.
You are refering/comparing to the enterprise SSDs or is some incompatibility with ZFS ?
For the scenario I have, and ok considering enterprise SSDs, what are your toughts on the type of datastores to create/use ?
Thanks for the help
Hello,
I'm relativly new to ZFS and I've read and search for a direct answer but got very confused with ZFS storage types in proxmox and not knowing the path to proceed.
I have the following drives and datastores to create and would like to know your opinions and advices on the ZFS storage...
Thanks for the reply,
I've added a total of 12 SATA drives to my VM in two separate AHCI SATA args onf the VM.conf.
This way I could use 12 disks passthrough to my VM from my netapp shelf.
Hello all,
After adding the "args" to the VM conf. file the drives apear in the VM when booted but not at hardware section on the proxmox VM.
Any thing missing besside the "args" line ?
Thanks
