I have a 600+ gig vm and I want to move it from an old 3.4 proxmox server to a newer 5.1 proxmox server in the same data center. What is the best or fastest way to do this?

I do not think this is vm specific because I tried it also with clean installs of centos 6 AND centos 7 both in kvm. The only thing different is that this server has a routed network config.

KVM templates jus like openvz templates would be nice to have really. Other opensource "cloud" platforms have that :)

I also use online.net but for backups only. Their secondary network card might help in doing proxmox HA though, but that needs a lot of experimentation before I feel confident with it :)

I have always been an openvz user and with openvz i do remote uncompressed backups using rsync, this provides me with the least amount of overhead and slowdown in backups ( mysql is dumped and included in the rsync ). That way if worse comes to worse I could fire vz vms directly from the backups...

Which data center is taht ebony? I found the new hosting seriies of ovh amazing value for money given that they give you LOADS of free ips ( only setup cost for 16+32ips on entry level )

Thank you yes now I see that this image is not actually used. I double checked and there was no error when I destroyed the VM that previously held this. Should manually delete if from lvm? Since I can not delete it from proxmox?

LVM image for a kvm vm. Where is the vh-config for kvm?

I have an image that does not appear to be associated with a vm. Is there a way to make sure that the image is not really associated with anything important other than going into each and every vm and checking if that image belongs to it?
