    use screen <command>, then you can close the ssh connection and your <command> works.

    Install on USB key

    Not yet, but I'm playing with this too. I tried ESXi 5.0 on an USB flash drive before. ESXi stores the /var folder on the harddrive. This is made during setup.

    Virtio disk boot problem

    To 'convince' XP to work with virtio: Let the first harddisk as IDE, add another harddisk as VIRTIO and boot. After the drivers are installed, reboot and shutdown. Change the first harddisk to VIRTIO and it should do. Later then, delete the second harddisk. Dirk

    Backup problem

    AFAIK is this problem related to debian and lvm. Search for "lvremove snapshot" I remember there was a tip to install the hal-package: apt-get install hal I don't have a problem until now. Dirk
