Hello,
I'm using PROXMOX Virtual Environment 6.4-6
I have a cluster with 4 nodes.
I have activated HA which is great.
But when a node is dead, it messes up the way I distributed my VMs accross the nodes to optimize RAM and CPU.
I've been doing this manually.
Now I'm wondering if there's a...
Very interesting.
My setup is as follow: only the OS and PROXMOX is stored on my PROXMOX box.
An NFS share is mounted and all virtual machines are stored there (on a NAS, which is a separate box).
So the most efficient way would be to just install a fresh install of v6.1, mount the NFS share...
Hello people,
I'm running vers 3.2-1 without a subscription.
I would like to upgrade to the latest version: 6.1
Before I start my journey, I'd like to know if there's anything I should be aware of, like an upgrade path, upgrade scripts or such.
Any comment or recommendation would be greatly...
Well after messing around endlessly I ended up finding this:

AND IT WORKS
So, case closed.
Thanks all for your replies
Yes I agree.
Ha! I don't think so.
I'm running FreeNAS.
It's running on FreeBSD.
SMB shares are running SMB3_11, which is compatible with Windows 10.
But I don't think it's a SMB problem.
My Windows 10 VM doesn't even see the NAS !
It doesn't see the device, so I really think it's a network...
Hey guys,
I installed a Windows 10 VM with the following options:
HD is SCSI, with VirtIO controller, qcow2 format and cache set to writeback
NIC is in bridge, paravirtualized with VirtIO
I've installed the VirtIO drivers v 0.1.173 for the HD and the NIC.
Now there's something really weird...
So I'm trying this and it doesn't work.
1) I tried both SCSI and VirtIO
2) Only difference here: I use the 0.1.173 drivers (virtio-win-0.1.173.iso). They have 2k19 version. I've tried both 2k16 and 2k19 and none work.
3) I tried forcing to load the driver because when I browse in the directory...
Hi guys,
I recently imported a Windows 7 machine from a physical computer to a PROXMOX VM.
Everything works well, except that I'm trying to resize the HD and it won't let me.
The HD is VirtIO (qcow2).
Right now the disk is 600G
But uses only 40G
So I would like to resize it to 50G
I'm...
Hi guys,
I tried to follow this procedure in order to copy a physical installation of Windows 7 to a PROXMOX VM:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Migration_of_servers_to_Proxmox_VE#Physical_server_to_Proxmox_VE_.28KVM.29_using_Clonezilla_Live_CDs
The operation completed successfully, however...
