There are non-root restrictions on the execution rights of the Proxmox CLI?

You need to install sudo package, then edit the /etc/sudoers file, after which you'll be able to execute sudo /usr/sbin/qm.

Add a non-HA node to a HA cluster

So, how do I it the right way? Is it the fencing that turns a node into a HA-node?

Add a non-HA node to a HA cluster

We have a 3-node HA cluster with an FC SAN storage. There is a server with no connection to the SAN. Is it possible to add the server to the cluster as a non-HA node, to take advantage of centralized management, and later, when we add an FC adapter to the server and connect it to the SAN...

    mouse wheel

The KVM bug has been closed with message "This sounds like a vnc client issue. gtkvncviewer works fine." According to this tigervnc feature request it definetly looked like tigervnc java client issue, so I extracted mouse wheel related stuff from the patch, rebuilt VncViewer.jar, tested and I...

There is one point of failure: as node count grows, DRBD becomes extremely expensive ;)

    [SOLVED] PVE 2.3: no multicore/hyperthreading

Well, the problem was not with the kernel or the BIOS. It was caused by acpi=off kernel command line argument, which was set according to the fencing wiki article (http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Fencing#Configure_nodes_to_boot_immediately_and_always_after_power_cycle). The article should be updated...

    [SOLVED] PVE 2.3: no multicore/hyperthreading

Hello, I have a strange problem with PVE2.3 (2.6.32-18-pve): On a machine with two Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 processors cpuinfo only shows two cpus, although it should show 24 of them. cpuinfo | grep ^processor | wc -l 2 All cores as well as hyperthreading support are enabled in BIOS. Booting from a...
