Hi all,

we are loosing some prints, 3 or 4 a day while hundrets work fine. The prints come from a VM running windows 2008 server R2. This VM prints via another machine, a linux-VZ, using SMB. The VZ prints to several network printers. There are more than one printers affected, so the printers themselves are not the reason.

The two machines work on two different blades of a Proxmox cluster.

To analyze this we installed a script as input filter at the VZ which copies the print-jobs to an extra log. The missing prints are missing in the logs, too. So the problem should be something with the SMB-connection from the Windows-VM to the linux-VZ.

Does anybody know this kind of problem or have an idea what we can do to solve it or to further analyze?

pveversion -v says:
pve-manager: 1.8-18 (pve-manager/1.8/6070)

vzquota: 3.0.11-1

Thank you and best regards,
A.
