Hi people,

I had a promox 1.5 installed on a debian lenny. I dared to do the following :

Code:
aptitude update && aptitude safe-upgrade
which installed proxmox 1.7, but I encoutered the following warnings :
Code:
Setting up pve-kernel-2.6.24-12-pve (2.6.24-25) ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.24-12-pve
W: mdadm: /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf defines no arrays.
Code:
Installing new version of config file /etc/bash_completion.d/vzctl ...
moving openvz sysctl settings to /etc/sysctl.d/vzctl.conf
OpenVZ already running..failed
It appears I should have stopped my VM !
I have not rebooted since the upgrade for fear of a misconfiguration somewhere...
I am more concerned by the failure concerning the moving to /etc/sysctl.d/vzctl.conf
Can I stop my VM then manually "move openvz sysctl settings" ? How ?

Thanks in advance.

There is no problem yet, but reading this error:
Code:
OpenVZ already running..failed

I guess there will be some problems one day, no ? I have not tried to reboot yet, I wanted to know how important was this "moving" first.

Ok. Thanks for your prompt answer.
I will backup my VM first, then try to reboot and report here (probably this week-end to avoid working days.

Cheers
