I folks,

for some research I'd like to setup several vz containers
and forward different subset of devices to them.
However, in order to make the devices visible, the pve kernel
needs to be build with the required drivers.

I know that pve kernel sources are provided, but what is the
required build environment for it?
Is there a container/appliance ready?
How would I setup a debian lenny for this task (asuming that
an "apt-get install build-essentials" is just not good enough)?

I searched the wiki and the forum but didn't find a good answer...

...many thanks in advance!

best regards,

compiling a custom kernel is not that simple and we do not provide support for this in the community forums. but there are a lot of howto´s in the web about kernels, so just google.
