I am sure this is simple but I don't want to make a change without being sure it won't break what I already have working...
Currently I have Proxmox running off of 1 NIC. I have 2 others installed and would like to use them. I have tried in the past to use them but I could never get it to work. All my current VMs use vmbr0 connected to eth0. I tried connecting eth2 to a new bridge, vmbr1. I then changed one OpenVZ VM to use vmbr1 under its networking tab. It gets no network connection. I went into its /etc/network/interfaces and replaced references to "eth0" to vmbr1 but that did not work either.
Can I under vmbr0 add for instance "eth0 eth1 eth2"? Or should I make a bond? If I make a bond what will I have to change in my /etc/network/interfaces (if anything).
I basically just want the best performance I can get on the VMs so I want to use the 3 NICs in the best way possible... Thank you.
