Hi everybody,

I study différent virtualization solutions for my work and I would want to know what are capabilities of proxmox VE and KVM.

- Max number hosts in a cluster
- Limit of CPU/RAM by host
- RAM/vCPU by VM
- Size limit for a virtual disk
- If they are a logical limit for the number of VM by host
- LUN or Disk max by host

Thanks for your reply. I did not find something about capabilities on proxmox and KVM website.

Have a good day.

Hi everybody,

I study différent virtualization solutions for my work and I would want to know what are capabilities of proxmox VE and KVM.

- Max number hosts in a cluster

we expect up to 32 host in the first run (2.0)

- Limit of CPU/RAM by host
- RAM/vCPU by VM
- Size limit for a virtual disk

see KVM wiki pages and OpenVZ wiki for details. but I am more or less pretty sure it will fit be enough :)

- If they are a logical limit for the number of VM by host
- LUN or Disk max by host

basically no limit.
