Network Utilization always shows 0% after changing ethernet adapter

Hallo,
Recently I deleted my networking adapter (rtl8139) and assigned an e1000 network adapter to it so I can have more speed. With the rtl8139 anything worked just fine but with the e1000 I cannot see the bandwith usage. The network utilization in task manager always shows 0% no matter how much bandwith is used.
It seems it's only the display, the box itself has internet connection and I can connect to it and do anything I could normally do just it doesn't show the usage.
Does anybody have a clue on how to solve this?
Os is windows server 2008

THanks in advance
