vzdump to template

Hi.

I have been trying to convert my Backup of vzdump-101.tgz to a Proxmox Template that I could start using as an easy method of cloning a preconfigured server.

No luck so far. I allready know how to restore a dump image but that is time consuming and I would much rather do it quickly from my premade template.

#mv vzdump-101.tgz template_name.tar.gz

And now keep it in /var/lib/vz/template/cache/

Thx. I actually had to rename it with _i386.tar.gz before I could see it in the Create list.

Proxmox rulez...
Now if I could just get user guotas to work in Openvz.

Whats the problem? Just enable them using the web interface (VM Configuration/Options)

That tool only allows one quota for all users.

I'm trying to implement a ISPConfig3 server on vz that would be able to manage individual user quotas.

The problem is this is usually enabled in fstab and managed elsewhere.
How can I enable a quota that does not specify quota level without fstab?

Are you sure? This enables user quotas, and you can use the normal tools to manage them.
