Hi all, I am trying to install Proxmox VE 2.2 onto my Server (HP ML110, Adaptec Raid 2405, e3 1220, 32gb ram - test rig) and i am having some trouble understanding how to do this.

On my first attempt I set up 4 disk raid 10 array (4tb raw), via ASM cd and then installed PVE, only to find out that kvm and containers were stored in directories.

I would like to be able to Install PVE onto say 60gb and then use the rest (1.8TB - 60GB) and use that as lvm storage, is this possible?
The link below is what I was reading and understand that it is possible yet I do not know how?

Thanks for any advice

yes, just create two raid volume, using the adaptec bios.

then, you will can select the installation target - select /dev/sda , e.g. with the mentioned 60 GB.

after successfull installation, you need to add the /dev/sdb via CLI.
