I tried some searching and didnt find anything that answers my question directly.
So here it goes:
Is there a procedure for moving member out of an existing Cluster and into a new Cluster?
I have a Proxmox 2.2 Cluster that is close to the max number of nodes in a Cluster (16), and I am trying to split up the Cluster
into a few other Clusters.
Here is a made up example:
Cluster name "Live-A" currently has members a1,a2,a3,a4,a5,a6,b1,b2,b3,b4,c1,c2,c3,c4.
I'd like to remove nodes, b1,b2,b3,b4 and create a new Cluster "Live-B"
and remove nodes c1,c2,c3,c4 and create new Cluster "Live-C"
I tried using "pvecm delnode b1" to remove the b1 from Live-A,
then ran "pvecm create Live-B" on b1 and
then tried running "pvecm add b1" on b2 so it would join Live-B.
but this didnt work.
I'm trying to do this without removing the guest VM's from the servers, and am hoping to avoid reinstalling proxmox to make a new Cluster.
Is this doable without a whole lot of complicated steps?
Thanks for any advise.
